Our Story
In 2012 (maybe it was 2011?), I tasted some coffee that my brother-in-law had been roasting for himself and some friends in Star Valley, Wyoming. It opened my eyes to the world of specialty, small-batch coffee.
6 months of research later, I embarked on a coffee-roasting journey of my own. I went through three air poppers and caught two of them on fire before my wife decided to buy me my first small, dedicated roaster for Christmas in 2013.
I’ve been roasting for friends and family ever since. Demand soon outstripped supply, so I sold a motorcycle and bought a coffee roaster. Enough of them have said it’s the best coffee they’ve ever had that it’s convinced me to finally offer it to you, my fellow coffee lovers.
With apologies to Folgers, we’ve discovered the best thing about waking up is this fresh roasted coffee in our cup. We’re looking forward to sharing our coffee with you and we hope you (and your family and friends) enjoy it as much as we do!
Drop us a line and we’d be glad to chat with you about whatever’s on your mind!
We’ve decided that we’d rather not drink coffee anywhere else.
It’s inhumane to force someone who has a genuine medical need for coffee to wait behind people who view it as some sort of recreational activity.
“A cup of coffee–real coffee–home-browned, home ground, home made, that comes to you dark as a hazel-eye, but changes to a golden bronze as you temper it with cream that never cheated, but was real cream from its birth, thick, tenderly yellow, perfectly sweet, neither lumpy nor frothing on the Java: such a cup of coffee is a match for twenty blue devils and will exorcise them all” - Henry Ward Beecher
